SPC Jason Gregory, USA (ret.)
Jason came to paws4vets after working with another organization. He wanted to learn how to better utilize FLEET to mitigate and control his PTS symptoms. Jason and FLEET attended several Intervention Transfer Training sessions. During Intervention Transfer Training Jason was taught how to read FLEET’s signals and utilize him during moments of anxiety. FLEET nudges Jason when he is feeling anxious or is having a flashback. These cues allow Jason to learn how to control his breathing and focus on FLEET, which then decreases his anxiety. FLEET and Jason were also taught the “anchor” command. This command is designed to allow the dog and handler to become closer in proximity which is a comfort to the handler and dog
