Caitlyn is a bright, beautiful young lady from West Virginia. She is diagnosed with Type I diabetes and requires constant monitoring. She strives to gain more independence in her daily life as she enters her high school years and feels as though an Assistance Dog will help her with her goals.
Caitlyn and EVEREST have become quite a pair! EVEREST has been trained to alert Caitlyn when her blood sugar falls above/below her normal range. EVEREST also retrieves Caitlyn's medicine bag and other items she may need during an episode and anchors when she is anxious.
