Meagan is a graduate of the SDTP at UNCW, as well as an AK9 volunteer. She is diagnosed with Anxiety, and experiences panic attacks, increased anxiety when at home alone, and crying spells. Over the course of her time spent in the program, she saw the life-changing effects of a dog on their client. While she is on medication for her symptoms, and it does help, it has not resolved them as much as she had hoped and she believes an Assistance Dog will be the tool to help with mitigating her symptoms.
Meagan began working with JAZZ in May 2022! JAZZ will be Meagan’s partner and best companion. She will help by anchoring to her anxiety, cuddling with her as she processes difficult emotions, and interrupting negative behaviors. We are happy to have this team as part of the paws4people family!
