Miaya Alston is a North Carolina native who became involved with ACCESS of Wilmington while completing her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
Miaya serves as Program Director at ACCESS of Wilmington.
ACCESS is a local nonprofit organization eliminating barriers to health and wellness through adapted sports, recreation, and fitness for children, adults, and veterans with disabilities.
Miaya currently oversees all aspects of program development and implementation, as well as evaluation and advancement for the Miracle League of Wilmington, ACCESS Fit, Project SOAR, plAy, and Recreation Therapy, serving 650 individuals annually!
CARSON is a wonderful, calm, and happy chocolate Labrador Retriever who will encourage and assist all participants to engage in the ACCESS community to achieve their health and wellness goals!
Miaya and CARSON are looking forward to working as a team and transforming even more lives together! CARSON will help ACCESS participants find their “why” and celebrate one another as part of the vibrant ACCESS of Wilmington community!
PIF 1 measures funds and "non-cash" credit from Direct Client's or Handler's direct efforts up to the $10,000 PIF 1 Goal.
PIF 2 measures funds and "non-cash" credit from a Direct Client or Handler, which does not result from a Direct Client's or Direct Handler's direct efforts. Once a Direct Client or Handler reaches the $10,000 PIF 1 Goal, then ALL funds and "non-cash" credit are applied PIF 2.
