Facility Dog Teams
DOG name: LULU
Team since: 2012
Jill is a therapist in Colorado who works with a happy-go-lucky black lab named LULU. After working with LULU during transfer training she learned how to utilize LULU in her practice.
LULU was specifically trained to provide emotional support to Jill’s clients. LULU has also been able to display an ability to alert Jill to stress and anxiety in her clients. LULU demonstrates unconditional positive regard, mirrors meaningful relationships, and can alert to anxiety within therapy sessions. This helps increase the effectiveness of therapy sessions and the likelihood of continued session attendance. LULU has shown the ability to integrate into civilian and military environments.
