Anne Marie Vallonga

Annemarie Vallonga is the Clinical Supervisor for Villa Maria School in Maryland. The students at this school have mental health and behavioral challenges, often times as a result of a history of trauma, including abuse and neglect. Many of these children experience emotional crises during the many ups and downs of their time at this school.

KIAWAH is a beautiful Golden Retriever who will be there to help the children throughout their time at Villa Maria School. She will give them a positive outlet for their anxieties, and help them face their fears as they settle in to their new school. When students are in emotional distress, she will support them to help deescalate their big emotions and help them find better coping mechanisms. KIAWAH will also assist students and staff during transition periods throughout the day.
